Instructions for Migrating to Mtradepro with SUN Java

To start enter http://mtradeprocf.mfglobal.com in the address field of your browser.

Once on this site please click on the Sun Java link on the site and choose to save it to your c:\ drive or a folder of your choosing. Please keep track of where you download it to. If you lose it after it is downloaded do a search for j2re-1_4_2_03-windows-i586-p.exe This file is 14.5Mb so it may take some time to download.

Once the download is complete simply double click the file and install it. Please choose all of the default options. In other words click I accept or next for everything. After the installation has been completed open Internet Explorer and click on Tools, Internet Options, and then click on the advanced tab. Scroll about half way down the page and uncheck the box labeled Use Java 2v1.4.2_03 for <applet> (requires restart) as seen below.

Click on Apply and then OK.

After that open your Control Panel. There are a few ways to do that depending on your operating System. It should be one of the following:

• Click on start, then settings, then control panel
• Click on Start and click on Control Panel
• Right click on My Computer, Choose explore. Expand My computer in windows explorer and your last choice should be Control Panel

Double click on the icon labeled Java Plug-in. Click on the advanced tab. In the Java Runtime Parameters field add

-Xms256m -Xmx256m

See Below.

Click Apply and then close the window by clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner.

*****IF YOU ARE A WINDOWS 98 or ME user please CLICK HERE or else Jtrader will not work.*****

Save and run this script and it will create a file that allows Jtrader to run on a Windows 98 or ME PC

Congratulations, you are now ready to trade. Go back to the http://mtradeprocf.mfglobal.com window if it is still open. If not open a new Internet Explorer browser to http://mtradeprocf.mfglobal.com. Enter your Mtradepro (Pats) user name into the User Name: box as seen below.

Mtradepro will launch and you will be ready to trade.
